Ottoway Lake Rainbow
Lower Ottoway Lake is couple of miles below Red Peak Pass, the highest in Yosemite National Park. The lake sits on a bench so it’s not that deep, with shallows dropping slowly to deeper water. The left side of the image shows the bright sun on the sand just below the surface. As the water gets deeper, the color turns more yellow, then green and blue. The brighter blue in the upper right corner is a reflection of the deep blue sky at this high altitude.
All images are printed with archival pigment inks on lightly textured fine art paper. Prints are sealed with a UV filtering varnish, mounted on board and floated in artist-made frames, ready to hang.
